Yes you, I am talking to you. You who is scared of putting on certain outfits because you think it will expose what I like to call “your flaws and insecurities” to the world. You, who is called continuously fat, even by those you love, because you don’t have the ideal body of what is acceptable to be beautiful or physically fit.

You who has certain rolls on your back, wobbly arms, or what we call it in this part of the world—Christian mother arms and love handles; trying to hide every imperfection with that prison which is called a waist trainer. Girl don’t imprison yourself; you know you have to eat when you get to that event.
You who constantly compare yourself with celebrities or Instagram models, who only show you perfectly curated pictures, with the right angles and lighting. We all know that ain't real life!
You who gets lost in the crowd of beautiful women, because no one really notices you. You, if called beautiful, wonder if the person who paid you such a compliment wants anything from you.
You, who is often insecure about landing the man of your dreams, because you are told that he isn’t attracted to people like you or only dates exotic looking girls; What is exotic? Who defines exotic? Why is exotic, not you?
Should you then lower your standards because society asks you to? Absolutely not!
You who might be worried about what you would look like, after you begin bearing children, because, my goodness! Those little lovelies can do a number on your body, which some women don’t recover from, even for a lifetime. Leaving you reminiscing of what once was.
I know this because my mother struggled with her weight after she had children.
But would you choose to have a sexy body or birth amazing children? Your choice! I'm glad my mother chose me.
You whose husband has begun dropping snide comments about your weight, and you look up every diet plan that there is—keto, intermittent fasting. Daniel’s Fast, going vegan, and Lord knows that if it were up to you, you would have no business in the gym, or care about such foods, but you don’t want to lose him, so you’d rather weight, than him, but if your man would leave you because of your weight, then the relationship was shallow, to begin with.
You who is shamed for putting on a two-piece suit, because you don’t have a six-pack to show off at the beach. You who often cry yourself to sleep, because of other people’s perception of beautiful.
You who is on the other end of the spectrum called skinny or teased for having tiny calves, no boobs or hips, just so you know, you are beautiful, you are flawless, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
The Creator cares so much about your inside than your outside. He says true beauty comes from within. Focus on developing your inside.
“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”
Which is better? Praise from God or praise from men? Don’t let people force you into doing what you have no business doing. Don’t buy into the new craze of body enhancement surgeries. Be content with who you are, as long as there is no medical reason for you to go under the knife.
The truth is, if you are insecure, no amount of external surgeries, can do away with such emotions. You have to look to the One who made you for validation and reassurance, trust me; He is well versed in that field.
Hey beautiful, block out the noise and focus on what truly makes you happy.
What do you think about this article? Plastic surgery has been at an all-time high, especially due to social media. People can now go in with pictures and say: I want these hips, thighs, and boobs. Spending thousands of dollars on body enhancement surgeries.
